Work, our devices, our hustle, our focus on the future, that we become completely detached from the present moment and our inner awareness. So many of us are held captive by our phones and devices, our work demands, and society’s new pressure to hit the ground running from the moment we wake up until the moment we surrender to sleep. This leads us to be consumed with constant thoughts, worrying, and stressing over future events and completely losing touch with our inner guide and the present moment. We become chronically entwined in a flight or fight response which with time can have serious detrimental effects.
Because of this, we are experiencing an epidemic of burnout and chronic stress.
